Holidays

Oh my gosh! only 15 days til Christmas. I am ready but not completely. I miss those days of my childhood when the only thing I had to worry about was what I was getting that year. lol Boy has that changed, typically I may get one to two items because I always tell everyone to get something for the girls and not worry about me. Now, I worry that I didn't get them everything they want. But at the same point I think if I get them everything they want will they really appreciate what they have.

You know what I mean?

As a child the only toys that I really needed was a bicycle, skates, bat, softballs, and maybe a skateboard if I could find a good place. I never really played with Barbie's that much I was always busy out being a tom boy. lol I never remember playing touch football it was always tackle and there always was a Christmas game out in the field, Me, my cousins, and all 15 neighborhood kids.

My girls are girly girls always wanting the new Barbie and Disney Princess stuff and mom trying to talk them into getting a pair of skates or a skateboard so mom can play too. lol Even though I haven't skated in over 10 years.

Either way, I would love to hear how Christmas has changed for you ladies. :)

I wanted to take a moment and write a little more about who I am and give you a chance to get to know the corky insomniac of Tennessee. lol

As you read I am a mother of two little girls ages 2 and 6 years old and they are my world.

My oldest daughter Stephanie was diagnosed back in January with ADHD and Language Disassociation Disorder. So in short she is really happy but has a very limited vocabulary. Last year I agreed to allow her to repeat Preschool in the CDC class to catch up with everyone else and it was one of the best things I have done to help her catch up.

My two year old April is a natural Wild Child. At two years old she already has a wild and free type spirit. To some mother's they would be considerable worried about such a personality surfacing but I can only smile because I see so much of myself in her.

I have been married for a little over 4 years but I have spent the last 11 years with my husband. I was 14 years old when he and I meet and he was the best thing that happened to me. He showed me unconditional love and no matter how hard times were for me he was always there holding my hand. I consider myself to me one of the select few who found thier sole mate early in life.

I am currently raising my little sister who moved in with me a little over 3 months ago. This has been a true learning curve for me. I have always helped with her when needed but I bow to any parent who has a teen that they have never just wanted to smack because you have patience. I believe that alot of our humps are smoothing out now. She is teaching me alot as well about raising a teenager and how much heck I put my mom through as well.lol

I also currently have 4 furry children. 1 Chihuahua named Chico, 1 Jack Russel named Lacy, 1 German Shepard named Rusty and a Bull Mastiff named Biscuit. So needless to say I love dogs. My house is very chaotic due to 4 dogs, 3 kids, and me. lol

Me. I am an interestingly odd type person I have a odd dry sense of humor at times and other times just the oppposite. I am a very sentimental type person that doesn't forget to stop and just take the moment in. I am in alot of ways more mature than most people my age but only because I have had to be. I was diagnosed as Bi-polar at the age of 15. So needless to say I can be very hyper at times and other times I am depressed. I try my best to level myself without meds but the times that are particularly hard I resume on my meds. I am typically a cut up that enjoys spending time with those who I care about. :)
