Wanted to share............
Posted On 12/09/2007 14:47:49

The company that I work at home with are very VERY focused not only on health and environment, but we are always educated or preached at lol, to live within our means, save money, get out of debt, our CEO and President just insists on making this part of our life long goal.

Our CEO has worked with and introduced to us Dave Ramsey. I have recently bought Dave's book called Total Money Makeover. Now, I love to read, but buying a book about money management is something that I never imagined myself doing. I've seen it at the mall and others stores, ebay etc.... very easy to find.

This book maps out a plan and provides you the challenge and opportunity to get out of debt and in detail. Our company is also putting us to the challenge starting in January. After reading this book, I have never been so excited to start something like this before. (other then my business).

I am very impressed and now on a mission.

This book is very everyone and anyone no matter what your financial situation is.

It will open your eyes and allow you to tell your money where to go, instead of wondering where it went.

Is there a loaded gun under your sink?
Posted On 12/06/2007 17:18:57
Do You have a loaded gun under your Kitchen sink?
Cleaning products are some of the most dangerous substances in your home.

Today, the average home today contains more chemicals than were found in a typical chemistry lab at the turn of the century. The Consumer Safety Commission has determined that cleaning products are some of the most dangerous substances in your home.

Lets start in your kitchen and bathroom. Look under the sinks where you keep your cleaning and personal care supplies. In most homes, we find Window cleaner, Bleach, Laundry and Dish soap, Dishwasher soap, Shampoo, Air Freshener, Mouthwash. These products are lethal poisons which can kill or seriously injure your child.

Would you keep a loaded gun under your sink? Of course not! But, these products can be just as deadly.

Where do you keep your cleaning and personal care products? Do you keep them locked or up, and out of reach of children. If you do, good!

Think about this, would you feel comfortable keeping a loaded gun there? Would you bet your child“s life that he or she could never get to that gun? A staggering statistic remains, more children under 4 die of accidental poisonings at home than are accidentally killed with guns at home.

You may not be aware that there are products on the market that are effective, much safer, and more economical than grocery store brands. The fact is, using safer household products, you would no longer be taking unnecessary chances with your child.

You can replace all these toxic products with SAFE and BETTER products:

Lysol

Air Fresheners
Dish soap
Dishwasher Detergent
Spic and Span, Mr Clean, etc.
409, Fantastic, etc.
Ajax, Comet, etc.
Laundry detergent, Spot removers
Bleach
Fabric Softeners and Dryer Sheets
Anti- Wrinkle spray
Starch
Scrubbing Bubbles
Bug Spray
Shampoos, Conditioners, Hair Spray, Hair Gels, etc.
Soaps, Shaving creams, Lotions
Deodorants and Anti-Perspirants
Cosmetics and Skin Care
First Aid and Over The Counter Medicine cabinet

items

And more....

Take preventative measures....for better health !

What a day! It's no secret.....
Posted On 12/04/2007 23:40:29

If you have never heard about "The Secret". Do yourself a huge favor and get the DVD, I highly recommend it over the book!!!  It's a wonderful gift for yourself.

In the Secret, it does tell us that what we think or feel is what we draw into our lives and I knew this, but I still managed to let that be forgotten and allowed this day to snowball from one thing to the other.  (just wasn't thinking)!!!!

Example in the movie is that you wake up stub your toe on the bed, spill your coffee, drop your keys, one thing leads to another and your day seems to be doomed. It's because of the thoughts and feelings that we put out, the negative energy so to speak, that causes those things to continue to happen.

Today first thing I was doing some online work with my business and was moving things around and later realized that I put them in the wrong area, now needs totally redone. Then I went to my daughters school to pick up the fruit box order and accidently took one of the teachers and had to drive clear back again, then I found a mistake in my checkbook, ran into town to the bank, we went over everything, but THANKFULLY they fixed it and took care of it !! What a blessing that was!

After that and everything else I needed to do today, I came home and was just drained. Mental stress is worse then physical stress and it sure lets your body know! No, these are not terrible events, just a stream of events that happened all in one day added to the normal day to day tasks. But, it was after the bank situation that I remembered.. ENOUGH! Quit thinking that anything else was going to go wrong, and that for the rest of the day, it was all going to go all right.

And it did. I took a great nap, my husband woke me up with dinner ready and I enjoyed the rest of my evening with no drama.

Your attitude, your thoughts and feelings really can control your day, week, month.............your life.

We hear things like that all the time and obviously its true, we experience it, there are books on it, poems, quotes, its everywhere.......

It is in our best interest to learn from others, life is too short to try to always learn things on our own.

We do learn, grow and overcome any obstacles that come our way, but we don't have to let them control our lives.

Wake up each day expecting that its going to be a good one....its no secret that it can be !

Are you Motivated?
Posted On 11/29/2007 07:56:10

What drives you to work your business each day?

It all comes down to one thing..... YOUR WHY !

We all have reasons why we wanted to work a business from home.

For some it can be that they need extra income, replace an income, maybe wanting to stay home with your children, or maybe complete financial freedom.

It is YOUR WHY that is going to motivate you enough to do what you need to do each day to build your business.

Since we don't have "time clocks to punch" or a boss over our shoulders, working a business from home takes dedication, discipline, determination and a strong WHY to make it happen.

Working a home busines will teach you alot about yourself.

You will learn that you need to find balance. Especially if you have children at home!

You need to MAKE TIME for you business, your chores, your family and yourself.

Finding that balance will also help you maintain your sanity. =)

And keep in mind that the things that you have to do each day, week or month will also be an on-going juggling act. You have to learn how to adjust.

Here are some tips in helping you...make it happen!

*Have a desk calendar. At the start of each week, write in all the times that you are avaiable to work your business, the times of running errands, appointments outside the home with doctors, and so on, kids activities etc... so that you can always just look and see what your week may hold for you. Also, pencil in time for yourself and family.

*Make sure that your family understands what you are doing and that just because you are home, doesn't always mean that you are available. Include them in on your business activites and explain the importence of your business and WHY you are building a business.

*If you have little ones that can understand that you "are working", always let them know when you also are going to do something with them and don't break that promise!

*Write down on sticky notes all the reasons that you are working from home. What it means to you, your family, what its going to do for your family now and for years to come. Writing down your WHY'S and having them displayed around your work area helps you stay focused and motivated.

Having a calendar for your activities, sharing all the iformation with your family and always being focused on the reasons of why you are doing what your doing is going to set your foundation so that you can move forward and grow each month. Having your balance and motivation are the two things that are going to allow you to succeed at home.

Map out your plan, work that plan and it will work for you!

Do you qualify?
Posted On 11/28/2007 09:28:54
Do you qualify to work a home business?

Working a business from home is simply wonderful.

But, there are a few main qualifications that you MUST have.

Desire, dedication and determination.

When you are working a business from home, you will not have

a boss, or a time clock to punch. You need to first find something that

you are passionate about. I mean REALLY passionate about. Something

that you are so motivated about that you actually look forward to getting up in the

morning and head right for your computer because you can't wait to get started

with your new day. That is where your desire comes in.

When you are working a business from home, I do hope that everyone realizes that

it is not always going to be easy. You have laundry in the other room, dishes on the sink,

errands to run,  floors that need swept, dinner to be made, phone

calls to answer or return, the list goes on, but you have your office in your home and

some days just don't always go as planned. However, if you are dedicated, you will carefully

make a plan of when chores are to be done, errands to be ran, and your business to be worked. Your dedication to your home business has to be just as important as anything else on your to-do list.  It is very

important to have a calendar and actually mark in "Your business hours" and make a plan each week of your most important business activites. You must treat your home business like a business...... or it may just turn into a hobby.

When you decide that you want to work a home business. You must know or write down

all the reasons why. Why do you want to work from home? How is it going to benefit you

and your family? Do you want to go work for someone else, or do you really want to do what

it takes to have your own home business? Do you have the determination to make it happen ?????

Do you qualify?

Your actions will determine your results.

My First Posting Here
Posted On 11/27/2007 15:14:39

This is my first posting here and I'm not sure where to begin.

My member info covers alot about myself and what I do day to day, however every day does bring something new to either my reasons for working a home business or something new into another chapter of the life and times at the Blake House.

With 2 daughters, you can never tell what each day will bring. One just left for work and the other is on the phone arguing with her boyfriend I assume. Teenage drama!

I am so glad those years are over for me and I wouldn't want to go back there again for anything. But, its those years of growing up with the aches and pains and good times too that are part of the stepping stones that help lead you of where you want to be and the kind of life you want to live.

I got married what would be considered early these days. I had just turned 20. I had my first daughter a year later and then my second, 5 years after that. At that time, I decided to go back to school. I went to the Ohio College of Massotherapy and graduated in 99 as a Licensed Massotherapist with the Ohio State Medical Board. I really enjoyed learning about anatomy and physiology and then going on to work in that arena for about 6 years.

However, after living in the city all my life, we then moved to the country and have been here for almost 9 years. Living on 80 acres that was given to my parents many years ago. I LOVE living in the country and I love being home. Soon after, I started searching the internet for ways that I could earn an income from home. It took a little over 3 weeks to find something that I would be interested in. I knew I wanted to still be involved with people though. I didn't want to do something like data entry or along those lines because I knew after a couple days of that, that I would be bored out of my mind.  I knew I didn't want to have to sell anything and end up with a closet full of stuff and have to worry about getting money, making deliveries or shipping items, I had my "I dont want to-do list" already planned out.

Since holistic health was my background, I did want to find something that I could still do to help other people. That is when I came across the Four Point Moms Group. I was completely new to the idea of what I would be doing or how, but I decided to dive in to just check it out and see for myself.

That was a little over 2 years ago. I found a support group and a company that ended up being more then I ever expected. I work with WONDERFUL people from all over the country and some I have even had the chance to meet in person. I found something that is very rewarding in so many ways and something that is also will-able to my family. So, its nice, no, its GREAT to know, the work that I do is going to last for many many many years to come and help my kids in the future.

I look forward to getting up each day with my coffee and heading to my desk and each day leads me to looking forward to tomorrow.
