You have yourself narrowed down to a niche which is usually a business owners most difficult thing.  You are so far ahead of the game!!!  Congrats on that.

Yes, focus on hitting those wedding planners.  Do you have a portfolio or a sample kit that you take around to meet with people?  I'd seriously set up some meetings and have one-on-one meet ups with them.  Explain your focus to them and show how passionate you are for it.  This will go a lot farther than a phone call.

You are totally on the right path.  Now you just need to make the time to push it.

With your market I would network REALLY HARD with some of the hotel wedding planners!  But online I would really start searching out some sites to link up with.  Do a search for Hawaii weddings, or wedding packages, etc.  Then it will bring you up to the sites that your target market is finding when they first start searching.  Those are your #1 places you want to get linked up with.  Whether you write up an article they can use for their site or just get a link or button up with them.
