Blog Readers
Posted On 12/08/2008 15:05:52 by AngieN

I'm just sitting here when I should be getting stuff done around the house but was just thinking about how many blogs I have in my Google Reader.  I have way too many and I have unsubbed from quite a few but still could clean it up a bit more.  How do you decide which blogs to keep reading or not?

I'm definitely keeping most of the weight loss/fitness blogs because they are in my niche, many personal wahm blogs of online friends and I have lots of Internet Marketing and Blogging blogs in there too.  Oh and of course my favorite giveaway/contest blogs, food blogs, Google Alerts, organization and pet blogs, travel and writing ones and then a ton in no specific category but I know there are way too many.

While I'm on vacation it's going to be so hard to just click"Mark All As Read"

I have a blog sickness I think

Brandy, using the feedreader doesn't help the blog addiction.  lol  But it does make it easier to check the blogs.  Since I do like to reply to blogs for social networking purposes, this way I can find the posts quickly without actually going to each of their sites.  I only go the blog itself if the post is something I want to comment on now.  It's a time saver for sure.

I haven't ever used google blog reader before. I am just starting to get addicted to blog reading and writing. I can relate on how hard it would be to mark all as read when on vacation! I can barely stay away from my computer!

Brandy

I end up checking my google reader a few times a week.  Typically there ends up being blogs that I just click mark all as read a few times a week.  After I recognize that I've done that over the month I unsubscribe.

I actually have been adding less to my google reader thanks to twitter.  Many of the one's I want to follow will post the title and a link to the post.  Then I can just go to it when it comes up.  :)
