Finding Your Passion
Posted On 07/24/2008 09:47:28 by usborne
One reason I started with Usborne Books, is because 2 of my children are LD. I found it very hard to get the to read anything or keep them interested in what they were reading. The schools around here from kindergarten to the 6th grade require that they read a certain amount of time each day. Getting a book that would hold their attention or be able to read was very difficult. They loved for me to read to them (yes, I enjoyed them to!)
After I decided to find a business that I could do from home, this company caught my eye. And believe me I searched high and low! I didn't want to start something that everyone else was doing, I wanted something different. So I chose these wonderful books so that my children would also benifit from my business. No one around here had ever heard of these books, except the Librarian!
I also decided to become an Educational Consultant. I mean, I was always going to school on field trips, doing crafts with the class, helping out however I could, just so I could be active in the classroom. So becoming known to the Librarian and teachers was a plus for me! This was the business that I wanted to be a part of.
If you want to work from home, find what works and what you have a passion for. If you don't love the product,or the company, then you won't be excited about telling everyone what business you have!
