The Llamas

The last 48 hours have been busy, interesting and frustrating.....


I am adopting an alpaca - Kimba I found on Alpaca Nation. In the process of that I found out the person that owns Kimba grew up in the same basic area I lived until I was 8. Too cool...


This budding friendship resulted in her calling me about 22 llamas that need to find new homes. We have to do this by the 22nd of this month. 3-4 llamas finding homes easy! But finding homes for 22 is becoming difficult! I wish I had the room for all of them but I can only take on 4 at the moment. Struggling w/ the fact I'm picking 4 out of the 22 and then getting the rest of them homes! Here's hoping all 22 get homes! Keep happy thoughts for these wonderful critters so that all may find happy homes!

That's so gret that you've been able to find homes for 12 of them already!  I was thinking - where do you turn to find people interested in adopting llamas.  That's such a specific "niche"!  Here's praying that you can help the other 10!  Believe me if I could take one - I would (Hey-doesn't Ellen Degeneres live on a Llama farm?  She's into rescuing animals!)

Llama update!


We are moving the llamas today. We found there are 20 of the critters. Finding homes isn't as hard as we thought! 12 are already spoken for! just gonna get their feet done and vet checked. This has turned into a rescue for the llamas! So to the llamas I go!
