Last June I opened
TheJuicyPearGiftShop.com.
After brainstorming for 2 years of how I could stay home and earn money it hit me. An online gift shop! The about the same time 3 totally different magazines featured an article on products made from recycled materials. It was a sign.
I have always been interested in items which were crafted from ordinary materials. The highly creative vision, and resourcefulness of the individual to reinvent an old product into a new product amazes me.
However, I never really thought of it as recycling until seeing some unique reinvented products while shopping that stated they were made from recycled materials. My immediate impression was, this is really cool, and it got me thinking. I then realized my original interest also included a desire to be environmentally friendly.
I was hooked and decided to open an online eco-friendly gift shop.
As for our name
One day while giving my daughters a snack it hit me. They have always called a pear a "Juicy Pear" and it was Green! A good friend of mine was able to create a recyled logo out of the pear shape and...
