Hmm ... firt of all, one of my all time favorite things is Surprises! I LOVE giving them and I LOVE getting them! I guess that pretty much makes any gift-giving holiday my favorite - best of all - Christmas!
Favorite Music
The more you get to know me, the more you'll see exactly how ... hmm ... versatile I am.
I like all kinds of music.
From Flo Rida to Counting Crows ...
From Nickelback to Linkin Park ...
Buck Cherry to Trans Siberian Orchestra ...
... and everything in between of course ...
Is that variety or what? Country? Ick! At one point in time sure, loved country because I'm about 100% down home country girl as you can get. (Some may even go as far as to call me a redneck! Can you imagine? (But ya know, I can get depressed enough all on my own. I don't need my love for music to help it along.
I love my music and I love it loud ... but only in my car. My car can look like crap (although no, it doesn't, lol) but my car must have a good stereo system - preferably one that goes boom - or it's pretty much worthless to me. (That alone should explain my enjoyment of Flo Rida, lol!)
Favorite Movies
I love a good drama but, scary/thriller movies (without too much gore!) are my favorite kinds. Of course, a good chic flic will catch my eye. Movies like Iron Man, the new Hulk and Journey to the Center of the Earth though have given me a whole new interest in SciFi which I used to hate.
My whole family are movie buffs - We love our movies! We love our movies so much that all four of us were thrilled and to this day consider our best ever "big purchase" wasn't our home - nah - our big screen tv! We need two more though - a flat screen wall-mount for our bedroom and a nice big one for our den / soon-to-be bar downstairs.
We have big plans for our soon-to-be bar. We plan to build an additional garage, knock down a wall or two and turn our 3 & 1/2-car garage into a one bay garage (I don't need to tell you what one of my husband's loves are now do I? 3 & 1/2 bays?)
Anyway ... next comes the bar, pool table, foosball and air hockey table. I would *love* to someday buy a pinball machine! Oh wow would I be one happy chick! A couple slot machines wouldn't be bad either - that could equal some real fun.
Picture some mixed drinks for the adult party one night and root beer floats and monster ice cream sundaes for the kids another. Of course we'll also have the popcorn maker, cotton candy maker, slushy machine and a couple of gumball machines! Hmm ... seriously considering the fountain soda machine too! (Plus so much more!)
Yep - big, big, big plans!
... I (more like we) want it all ...
Wanna come to our house for the Superbowl or Daytona 500? You're all invited!
But back to the favorite movies ...
My all-time favorite kid's movie is and always will be Charlie & The Chocolate Factory! My all-around favorite movie is Gone In 60 Seconds.
I mean Nicolas Cage (mmm ...), Angelina Jolie and let's not forget Elenor ... need I say more? What's not to love?
Favorite Books
I'm a pretty avid reader. I've been known to suffer withdrawl symptoms from not having a book on hand to read. Pathetic, I know ... but hey, this is the real me!
I love a good murder mystery or detective book. Occassionally I enjoy a good hopelessly in love "chic-flicy" story or even a good historical romance. My most recent obsession is legal thrillers.
If you like a good nonfiction legal thriller ...
I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of "The Innocent Man" by #1 New York Times Best Seller many times over, trying his hand at and succeeding horrifically well, John Grisham
Packed full with true eleventh hour drama, this fast-paced, can't bear to put it down thriller will leave you outraged and furious to how horrible and outrageously cruel our country's legal system can really be. He puts the terms Innocent until Proven Guilty to incredible shame.
Researched from deep within the cold concrete barron walls of DEATH ROW, Grisham will lead you down the one-hundred feet long, twelve feet wide, eight foot high packed with cells one right after another corridor also known as the row with un-imaginable detail of how this poor innocent man got there (as well as 3 others from the same state!!) and how only by the Grace of God, two heroic sisters and a damn good lawyer saved him from his fateful death. This is by far one of The Best pieces of work I've read in a very, very long time.
This truly is a Must Read! Interest piqued? It should be! Let me know and as soon as I'm finished I'll gladly share my copy with you! Seriously! Let me know! I'd love to share!
Favorite TV Shows
Well I better start off with Survivor & Big Brother - can't do without my reality tv. Then there's House, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, Two & a Half Men, Gary Unmarried, New Adventures of the Old Christine and Worst Week. (Yep, love my tv!) I also enjoy Guiding Light and As the World Turns (like I really have the time to watch Soaps anymore!) Needless to say, I'm in love with my Direct TV DVR too!
... and that's pretty much me in a nutshell ... rambling and all! Thanks for reading and be sure to leave me a comment over there ----
